Westy, SUBARU ENGINE, AUTOMATIC transmission for sale. 1984, very good interior, exterior, and mechanical condition. We've had so much fun, and I'm not crawling back out of the rabbit hole, but I'm working on a bigger camper. Get in touch or Charlotte CL for more details. Asking $19500 obo.

I have 2 "Westys", same year, same color scheme, 1 full camper and a weekender.
I am selling the weekender for $6000

or use as downpayment on a VWsynchro-camper (4x4).

I originally bought the weekender for parts for my camper, but then it kept running so well after i gave it new cylinder heads, new steering fluid pump, shocks.....

Fire On The Mountain #11 Campout at Rabun Beach in just a few short weeks. We will be there on Sept 17 - 21. Over the years we have had loads of fun as we occupy the primitive loop of the campground. There is a great lake to canoe/kayak on and a wonderful mountain lake beach to swim. There are fantastic hiking trails and amazing campfire stories being told each night. You may even run across a "fish bowl" once in a while. We try hard to make this a memorable experience for everyone. If you want to have fun and enjoy the company of others please come. If you are not interested in having a good time, please stay home or camp somewhere else. It is time to return to our roots and remember that we are all here to love and serve one another.

In the days of old we began the International Federation of Full Moon Progressive Bocce Ball Champions Tour at this campout and we would like to bring it back.

In the days of old we had a Canoe and Kayak Regatta on Lake Rabun and we would also like to bring this back.

In the days of old we had a somewhat organized waterfall hike and we would like to bring this back.

As always we will display our Dutch Oven Cooking Skills. Years ago we used to have a competition with Judges and all that Jazz but over time we realized that we just love to cook and eat and we are not that competitive. Maybe this year we can all post what we are making and at have recipe cards for everyone to take near our dish.

In the days of old we had some fantastic times around the Council Circle with rotating door prizes. If you have any of these fantastic items please be sure to pack them. I have no idea where they have all gone because the rain washed us out last year on Saturday Night.

We are hopeful that the FMBC Band that was together at Brew Bus can perform a set or two or three with limited electricity at the Council Circle. We are also encourage all pickers to bring their skills to the campfires throughout the loop. "What say ye Scotts"

Other Ideas are welcome. If you have any please post them here and we will begin a discussion.

Hi, My name is Sally Lecrone and my husbands name is Jim. We are from PA and are hoping to attend this event this year. We have talked about coming for several years and we think this is the year to do it. Is the name of the campground Rabun Beach so we can get some directions.

Here are the Driving Directions to the campground. Remember that we are in the primitive loop. The entrance is directly across from the parking lot for the swimming area and boat ramp.

Fire On The Mountain Campsite Fees....

The fees for the campsites this year will be a simple $8 per bus per night. That is unless you have one of those Golden Pass cards and qualify for a reduced rate within National Forest Campgrounds. So the majority of us will be paying $8 per night to camp at Rabun Beach. The regular fee has gone up this year to $16 per site. So it is reasonable that we will pay $8 per bus since most of us have at least two buses on each site. If you happen to have more than two buses on your site it will be expected that the third, fourth, fifth, etc. bus will also pay $8 per night to camp. We want to support the efforts of Chattahoochee Management while they continue to manage the National Forest campgrounds in North Georgia. Please come to our site to pay your fees when you get settled. We will provide something for you to stick in your windshield to show that you have paid. We will also provide a raffle Ticket at that time so that you may win a glorious prize on Saturday evening. Don't worry about paying at the entrance just come see us. We have also talked with the campground host about fire wood. We will likely have a large load dumped at our place and you are welcome to contribute to the cost as you take some back to your site. The thing is, Glen and his wife will not be around this year as they are going on vacation. So let's just do what we always do and enjoy the moments together and leave the place better than it was when we got there... We are looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you!
